NOTICE – CALLED MEETING: March 26, 2026

The Haywood County Election Commission will meet in a called session on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 5:00 pm in the Election Office.

NOTICE: Immediately after the meeting to certify the results, the Haywood County Election Commission will conduct a called meeting for the agenda items below:

Agenda:

1. Approval of minutes February 3, 2026
2. Old Business
3. New Business:
   1. Annual Workplace and Sexual Harassment Training
   2. Review security proposals
   3. 1^st quarter registration inspection
   4. June 16, 2026 City of Brownsville Election
      • Lock ballot boxes
      • Set EV hours (May 27 – Jun 11)
      • Routine move: Tibbs city voters to Chamber
   5. August 6, 2026 State Primary and County General Election
      • Set EV hours (July 17 – Aug 1)
      • Approve petitions
   6. Administrator’s report

A public comment sign-up sheet will be available beginning 2 days prior to the meeting until 4:30 p.m. the day of the meeting for any person who wants to provide comments to the HCEC regarding matters that are germane to items on the agenda. The sign-up sheet will be posted at the Election Commission Office. We will allow a maximum of 6 people to speak for 3 minutes. The full copy of the Public Comment Policy will be displayed with the sign-up sheet.
