TO THE VOTERS OF HAYWOOD COUNTY, TENNESSEE: PRIMARY elections will be held in all voting precincts in Haywood County, Tennessee on:  TUESDAY, MARCH 1, 2016

 

A PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY is for the members of each political party, as provided by TCA 2-13-205, to select their preference for candidate for the office of the President of the United States for their respective parties and for the Republican Party to elect delegates to the National Convention of the Republican Party. (The Democratic Party shall select their delegate candidates through a caucus process.)

 

Monday, February 1, 2016 is the last day to register to be eligible to vote in this election.

Unsure of your registration status? Voters may check their registration and address information by clicking the Voter Reg. Look-up link on our website, https://haywoodvotes.com. We encourage all voters to update our office with any changes prior to Election Day.

It allows Tennesseans the opportunity to view their sample ballot, locate their polling location (provided the voter’s information on file with the Election Commission is current) and learn about their district.

 

NOTICE FOR ELDERLY VOTERS OR VOTERS WITH DISABILITIES

Voters with a disability and/or elderly persons who believe that their polling places are inaccessible are encouraged to vote early during the early voting period (February 10 – February 23) or

by mail with an absentee ballot or may vote at the Election Commission Office on Election Day.

Voters who intend to vote at the Election Commission Office on Election Day

must notify the commission in writing no later than February 20, 2016

 

Written requests to vote absentee by mail are due by the close of business on

Tuesday, February 23, 2016.  For the voter’s convenience, an absentee request form is found
