Metropolitan Government Referendum
Tuesday, May 6, 2014
The Haywood County Election Commission is giving notice to all registered voters of Haywood County, Tennessee, including Brownsville and Stanton, of a special referendum election to be held in all voting precincts in Haywood County on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, for
1) Metropolitan Government Referendum, for the purpose of approving or disapproving the Consolidation of the City of Brownsville and Haywood County; and
2) Metropolitan Government Appendix, for the purpose of approving or disapproving the Consolidation of the City of Stanton and City of Brownsville/Haywood County
Notice is also given for disabled or elderly voters whose polling place is inaccessible, that they have the right to vote early by absentee ballot or on Election Day at the Election Commission Office. To vote at the Election Commission Office on Election Day, the disabled or elderly voter shall complete an affidavit and send to the Election Commission Office not later than April 26, 2014.

9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Monday thru Saturday

EXTENDED HOURS:
SATURDAY, APRIL 26, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
TUESDAY, APRIL 29, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
THURSDAY, MAY 1, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Early Voting is located in the Election Office on the Lower Level of the Haywood County Courthouse at the Lafayette/West Main (back door) entrance.
PHOTO ID LAW
Voters who vote in person during early voting or on Election Day must present a photo ID issued by the federal or Tennessee state government. These IDs may be current or expired.
