Notice of Office Hours and Accessibility

 

To ALL REGISTERED VOTERS OF HAYWOOD COUNTY ,TENNESSEE: Tuesday, November 8, 2016 is the General Election for President and Vice President of the United States, US Representative 8th Congressional District, State Senate 26th District, and State Representative 82nd District.

To ALL REGISTERED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF STANTON, TENNESSEE: Tuesday, November 8, 2016 is the City of Stanton Municipal Election for City Mayor and four (4) aldermen.

CHECK YOUR ADDRESS OR REGISTRATION STATUS BEFORE ELECTION DAY:  Voters may check their registration and address information by clicking the Voter Reg. Look-up (or the magnifying glass icon)  link on our website, https://haywoodvotes.com. We encourage all voters to update our office with any address changes prior to Election Day.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2016 is the last day to register to be eligible to vote in this election. To register, visit our website, https://haywoodvotes.com, and click the Register to Vote link or stop by the Election Office.

The GoVoteTN app is now available for iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as online. It allows Tennesseans the opportunity to view their sample ballot, locate their polling location (provided the voter’s information on file with the Election Commission is current) and learn about their district.


NOTICE FOR ELDERLY VOTERS OR VOTERS WITH DISABILITIES

Voters with a disability and/or elderly persons who believe that their polling places are inaccessible are encouraged to vote early during the early
voting period (October 19 – November 3) or by mail with an absentee ballot or may vote at the Election Commission Office on Election Day. Voters who intend to vote at the Election Commission Office on Election Day must notify the commission in writing no later than October 29, 2016


Written requests to vote absentee by mail are due by the close of business on Tuesday, November 1, 2016.  For the voter’s convenience, an absentee request form  is found on our website, https://haywoodvotes.com. Call our office at 772-1760 for more information.
